Eight Days

Jonas Feldner is forty-three, divorced, permanently short of money, and perfectly accustomed to being overlooked in the storage department of a technical museum. Then he discovers something inside an old crate that should not exist. A machine capable of sending a person exactly eight days into the past. It looks like an opportunity. Eight days of future knowledge could be enough to change his life forever. A few decisions made at exactly the right moment. One carefully calculated plan. One second chance. But when Jonas comes face to face with the version of himself who is eight days younger, the future has already begun to shift. Small details change. Memories contradict one another. Events happen earlier than they should. And the harder Jonas tries to control what comes next, the less reliable his knowledge of the future becomes. Then he remembers a catastrophe that has not happened yet. At Meridian, a vast shopping and office complex in Graz, people are going to die — among them nine-year-old Aarav Rao and his father, Anand. Jonas knows fragments of what is coming. But simply returning to the past has already changed the chain of events that leads there. As a determined police investigator closes in on an unseen enemy and a bitter family conflict begins to surface, two versions of the same man must work together to prevent a disaster whose details keep changing with every decision they make. But they are running out of time for another reason. The machine has one rule Jonas understood too late: Two versions of the same person cannot exist side by side forever. The countdown to convergence has begun. And what started as a seemingly simple journey into the past becomes something far more dangerous — a question of identity, guilt, free will, and whether knowing the future gives you the power to save it. Born in 1970, Heinz always wanted to make films. But in the 1980s in Graz (Austria), this wish could not be fulfilled. So he learned a "regular" job as a media salesman. But he did not give up his passion for photography, filming, making music and writing. "Better late than never", he says and now his first book has been published! A film about the book is in production and he also released two songs for it (@Heinz Siegfried) at the same time. This proves it once again - everything is possible if you believe in it!
